About me

I am an Assistant Professor at the Population Ecology Lab based at the Faculty of Biology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). In my research, I explore cognitive mechanisms and ecological implications of learning and information use in wild animals (mainly birds). In addition, I am interested in ecological effects of mast seeding on forest ecosystems.

My current research revolves around three main themes:

  • Learning of fear and eavesdropping networks in wild birds
  • Informed habitat selection decisions in songbirds
  • Effects of mast seeding on forest bird communities

Here you can find more information about my current research projects. I am also establishing new study system to explore the ecology of decision-making in insect pollinators, especially the implications of social information use for plant-pollinator networks. Stay tuned!
